In short
- We collect your name, email address and WhatsApp number when you enrol, join a waitlist or sign in.
- Payments go through Razorpay. We never see your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password.
- Your details are kept in Ping My Lab’s Google Workspace and used to run your batch.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- Write to radha@pingmylab.in to see, correct or delete it.
This Privacy Policy explains how Ping My Lab (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use learn.pingmylab.in (the “Site”) and the live batches sold on it. Courses on www.pingmylab.in are covered by the privacy policy published there. By using the Site, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Use.
01Information we collect
Details you give us
- When you enrol or join a waitlist: your name, email address and WhatsApp number.
- When you sign in to My courses: your email address.
- Anything you send us by email or WhatsApp.
We only ask for what we need. You can refuse, but without these details we can’t give you access to a batch.
Payment information
Razorpay processes payments on the Site. From Razorpay we receive details of your payment, such as the order and payment IDs, the amount, the status and the payment method type. We never receive your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password.
Your sign-in on this device
When you open a sign-in link, the Site saves a private token in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in to My courses on that device. Signing out removes it. The Site doesn’t set cookies of its own and doesn’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
Classes
Live classes on Google Meet are recorded, and the recordings are shared with your batch on My courses. Your name is visible to the class, and anything you say, write in the chat or show on screen may appear in the recording. If you join the batch WhatsApp group, other members of the group can see your name and number.
Technical information
Like any website, the Site is delivered by service providers who see basic technical details such as your IP address, browser and the time of your visit: GitHub Pages hosts the Site, Google Fonts serves its fonts, and on a batch page Razorpay’s checkout script loads from Razorpay when you start to pay. Razorpay may use cookies inside its payment window, under its own privacy policy.
02How we use it
- To give you access: My courses, class links, recordings, course materials and lab time.
- To process your purchase, and any refund.
- To send you sign-in links and messages about your batch, by email and WhatsApp.
- To answer your questions and help with problems.
- To improve the Services and keep them safe, including preventing fraud and misuse.
- To tell you about our offers, new courses and batches. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us.
We process your information with your consent, to perform our contract with you, or for our legitimate interest in running the Site properly. We don’t use your personal information for automated decisions or profiling beyond what this policy describes.
03Who we share it with
We don’t sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Razorpay, to take payments and issue refunds.
- Google, through Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Meet, Google Drive and the tools that store our enrolment records), to run your batch.
- WhatsApp, if you join the batch group or message us there.
- GitHub, which hosts the Site.
- Authorities, when the law, a court order or a government request requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or others, or to prevent fraud and misuse. Where the law allows, we will try to tell you first.
04Where it is stored
Your information is stored and processed by our service providers, mainly Google and Razorpay, in India and in other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. By using the Site, you agree to this transfer.
05How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Where we can’t delete something, such as a past message in a batch group, we will try to make sure it can no longer be linked to you.
06Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including India, the UK and the European Union, and California, you may have the right to:
- get confirmation that we hold your information, and a copy of it;
- correct information that is wrong, incomplete or out of date;
- have your information deleted, or its use restricted or stopped;
- object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent;
- receive it in a portable form, or have it moved to another organisation;
- not be subject to decisions based only on automated processing; and
- complain to a data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, write to radha@pingmylab.in. We may need to verify your identity first, for example by matching your name, email address and phone number with our records. Deleting your information ends your access to the batch.
07Children
You must be at least 18 to use the Site, or between 13 and 18 with your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. If you are under 13, or under 16 depending on your country of residence, please don’t use the Site or send us your information.
08Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, use, change or destruction, and only the people who need it to run the Services can see it. Please keep your sign-in link private, and sign out of My courses on shared devices.
09Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Unless we say otherwise, the current policy applies to all information we hold about you.
